Characteristics of the product: PSelective postemergence herbicide for use in rice cultivation . It is a systemic herbicide and inhibits the growth of aceto lactate synthase enzyme , which is the above precursor enzyme of the synthesis of aliphatic amino acids (ALS) valine , leucine and isoleucine . Susceptible species have reduced growth , chlorosis and later a brown coloration on the leaf and stem . Followed by necrosis of growing points determining plant death in about 20 days. The product is absorbed by both the foliage as by the roots.
